PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately take an image at a timing which a photographer catches as a time for the click of a shutter.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 100 comprises: a consecutive photographing controller 126 which drives an imaging device 104 to capture image data by consecutive photographing; a depression detector 128 which detects depression of a shutter button by a user; and an image selector 130 which selects the image data captured by the imaging device 104 at a time preceding the time when the depression detector 128 detects the depression of the shutter button, by a predetermined time period equivalent to a time for the user's response; and a storing processor 132 which performs processing to store the image data selected by the image selector 130, in a memory 111.
