PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate for suspension which is high in a yield rate and the degree of freedom in designing, achieves a reduction in cost and enables highly precise alignment.SOLUTION: The substrate for suspension comprises a metal support substrate, an insulator layer formed on the metal support substrate and a conductor layer formed on the insulator layer. The conductor layer has a conductor layer through hole, and the metal support substrate has a metal support substrate through hole formed at a position where it is overlapped with the conductor layer through hole in plane view. The insulator layer is formed so as to be exposed from the conductor layer through hole in plane view and has light transmittance.
