Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device capable of exerting excellent operation feeling and capable of operating with high accuracy.SOLUTION: In a thumb knob 1, between a bracket 5 and a knob 9, first and second twisting coil springs 21 and 25 are provided. The first twisting coil spring 21 does not displace by rotation of the knob 9 in a left direction about a shaft center O from a reference position B, and energizes the knob 9 to return to the reference position B by rotation of the knob 9 in a right direction from the reference position B. The second twisting coil spring 25 does not displace by rotation of the knob 9 in the right direction from the reference position B, and energizes the knob 9 to return to the reference position B by rotation of the knob 9 in the left direction from the reference position B.
