PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device which allows an inner surface of a lens member side of a guide member to be cleaned even if the image reading device is a sheet feeding type.SOLUTION: The image reading device includes a cleaning member 7 which is movably disposed in a gap D between a rod lens array 5 and a contact glass 6 in a sensor chassis 4 and has a magnetic part having a magnetic property and a cleaning part 73 capable of cleaning the contact glass 6. When the cleaning member 7 is magnetically attracted by an operation member 8 from the exterior through the contact glass 6, the cleaning member 7 moves the cleaning part 73 with respect to the contact glass 6 in a sliding manner by the movement of the operation member 8. Thus, even if the image reading device is a sealed sheet feeding type, the inner surface of the rod lens array 5 side of the contact glass 6 can be cleaned by using the operation member 8 from the exterior.
