PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swash plate of a swash plate type compressor, capable of shortening a manufacturing process in comparison with a case when a conventional coating method is applied, polishing a resin coating with high accuracy, and securing adhesion strength with a swash plate base, a method for manufacturing the same, and the swash plate type compressor including the swash plate.SOLUTION: A swash plate 3 of a swash plate type compressor is provided in which a shoe is slid on the swash plate 3 disposed at a right angle or obliquely while directly fixed to a rotating shaft or indirectly through a connecting member in a housing in which a refrigerant exists, and rotating motion of the swash plate is converted into reciprocating motion of a piston through the shoe to compress and expand the refrigerant. A resin coating 10 is formed on a sliding face on which the shoe is slid, an axial cross-section of the resin coating 10 has a layered shape in a direction parallel with the sliding face, and the resin coating is formed by linearly applying a resin coating material 12 discharged from a discharge port 11 to a base 3a of the swash plate 3.
