Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water lubrication type hydroelectric power generator capable of steadily removing foreign matters so that the foreign matters, which cause problems at a bearing part of a water lubrication bearing, do not enter lubricant water taken from an upstream portion of a hydraulic turbine body.SOLUTION: A hydroelectric power generator comprises: a rotor blade 17 having a propeller blade 15 and a runner 16 that turns with water flowing in a waterwheel body 2, and a stator 20 installed outside the rotor blade 17. The rotor blade 17 is supported by water lubrication bearings 30, 31 supporting the runner 16. A water film is formed between the rotor blade 17 and the water lubrication bearings 30, 31 by providing the water lubrication bearing 30, 31 with water taken from a bearing water supply opening 40 of the hydraulic turbine body 2. The bearing water supply opening 40 has a filter member 50 for removing a foreign matter larger than a gap S between the water lubrication bearings 30, 31 and the rotor blade 17 from water taken from the bearing water supply opening 40. In addition, a subsidence container portion 70 for letting weight foreign matters t sink after passing the filter member 50 is provided between the bearing water supply opening 40 and the water lubrication bearings 30, 31. The lower part of the subsidence container portion opens to the downstream side of the rotor blade.
