PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle device capable of detecting accurately operating numbers of an operating member using a potentiometer while exerting combination in high efficiency.SOLUTION: A handle device comprises: a frame 1; a rotating shaft 3; an operating member 5; a moving member 7; first and second guide rods 9a and 9b; a rocking member 11; and a potentiometer 13. On the moving member 7 are formed first and second guide walls 7i and 7j, and between the walls is formed a recess 7k. On one end of the moving member 11 is formed a pin hole 7a, and on the other end is formed a salient 7b with an action surface 110. A salient 11b is inserted into the recess 7k. In the handle device, as the moving member 7 moves up and down, the action surface 110 fluctuates with a lower surface of the first guide wall 7i and an upper surface of the second guide wall 7j. Thereby the salient 11b is guided to the lower surface 712 of the first guide wall 7i and the upper surface 713 of the second guide wall 7j and moved in the recess 7k.
