Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage system for suppressing interruption of power supply from an inverter device to a load while the inverter device is in autonomous operation.SOLUTION: A power storage system 3 having a storage battery 30 connected to a power transmission line 7 for connecting a DC power supply 1 for outputting DC power and an inverter device 2 for converting the DC power to AC power and superimposing the AC power on a system 5 has: a first mode in which charging the storage battery 30 through the power transmission line 7 is possible when the DC power is output from the DC power supply 1, while the inverter device 2 is superimposing the AC power on the system 5; and a second mode in which charging the storage battery 30 is inhibited, while the inverter device 2 does not superimpose the AC power on the system 5 and is supplying the AC power to a load 6.
