SOLID STATE IMAGE PICKUP DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image pickup device capable of suppressing deterioration in the image quality of picked-up image, and a method for manufacturing the solid state image pickup device.SOLUTION: The solid state image pickup device includes: a photoelectric conversion element for other colors; a photoelectric conversion element for red color; a plano-convex lens for other colors; and a plano-convex lens for red color. The photoelectric conversion element for other colors photoelectrically converts light of colors other than red color. The photoelectric conversion element for red color photoelectrically converts light of red color. The plano-convex lens for other colors condenses light to the photoelectric conversion element for other colors by a light reception surface formed in a convex shape. The plano-convex lens for red color condenses light to the photoelectric conversion element for red color by a light reception surface formed in a convex shape and having a curvature radius larger than that of the light reception surface of the plano-convex lens for other colors.
