Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate having a protective film comprising a polypropylene resin laminated to one surface of a polarizing film and having a retardation film laminated to the other surface, the polarizing plate hardly broken when the polarizing plate on the retardation film side is laminated to a glass plate via a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and subjected to a heat cycle test, and thereby the polarizing plate showing improved durability.SOLUTION: A polarizing plate 10 with a pressure-sensitive adhesive comprises a protective film 11 comprising a polypropylene resin, a polarizing film 12, a biaxial retardation film 13 and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 16, layered in this order. The protective film 11 comprising a polypropylene resin shows a coefficient of linear expansion of 30×10/°C or less when heated from -35°C to 70°C and a haze value of 2.0 to 10%. The pressure-sensitive adhesive layer 16 shows a storage modulus of 0.40 to 0.8 MPa at 80°C. The polarizing plate is suitably arranged in a liquid crystal cell 20, particularly on a backside of a vertical alignment mode liquid crystal cell. |
