Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency core cooling system capable of transferring an atomic reactor from a hot halt state to a cold halt state with the use of a turbine moving auxiliary feed water pump, without having to wait for recovery of cooling equipment using an external power supply, even in the event of loss of all power, for the purpose of further ensuring safety and reliability of an atomic power plant.SOLUTION: The driving source of a turbine moving auxiliary feed water pump 28 may be switched from a turbine 26 driven by a steam generated from the inside of an atomic reactor or a steam generator 3, to an internal combustion engine 28. As a result of this switch, the atomic reactor can be cooled to a cold halt state with the use of the turbine moving auxiliary feed water pump 28 without having to wait for recovery of cooling facility which uses an external power supply, in the event of loss of all AC power supplies.
