PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance device capable of enabling a counter roller to be disused without damaging sheet conveyance performance, and thus capable of being thinned and reduced in cost.SOLUTION: A sheet conveyance device 120 includes a main unit 102 having an upper surface 108, and a counter unit 109 having a lower surface 110 opposing the upper surface 108 to form a conveyance path. The main unit 102 is provided with comb-shaped conveyance rollers 103 and 104 each including a plurality of large-diameter portions provided side by side in an axial direction and small-diameter portions, respectively having a plurality of recessed portions formed therein, provided side by side in the axial direction among the large-diameter portions. A plurality of sheet pressing units 111, unrotatably provided and respectively arranged at positions corresponding to the recessed portions in each of the comb-shaped conveyance rollers 103 and 104, for pressing a document F against the comb-shaped conveyance roller when the document F has entered the counter unit 109 is disposed in the counter unit 109.
