BIDIRECTIONAL RATCHET SPANNER-SHAPED TOOL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable switching of a rotation direction in which a ratchet function works without removal/insertion operation in a spanner-shaped tool having an opening and provided with the ratchet function.SOLUTION: A fixing/supporting part S provided in the center of the inner periphery of an opening 2 symmetrically supports two adjacent sides N among six sides forming the hexagon of an object A such as a nut, or alternatively, symmetrically supports two adjacent sides N with another side M interposed therebetween. Around the fixing/supporting part S, an approximately C-shaped claw 3 is normally and reversely rotated with a position apart from a center Ac of the supported object A as a rotation center 3c while being slid. The end of the claw 3 has a shape for catching corners h2 located farther than the two adjacent sides N forming the hexagon of the object A. The claw 3 is normally and reversely rotated by a drive mechanism L manually or using motive power, thereby alternatively catching the two corners h2 in the normal rotation direction or in the reverse rotation direction.
