Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment method with a high removal rate as elemental sulfur, in a wastewater treatment method in which sulfide-containing wastewater is desulfurized by sulfur-oxidizing bacteria.SOLUTION: In a wastewater treatment method in which sulfide-containing wastewater is desulfurized in a desulfurization tank including sulfur-oxidizing bacteria, an aeration amount to the desulfurization tank is controlled by using a ratio (the number of sulfur-oxidizing bacteria)/(the number of total bacteria) in the desulfurization tank as an index. By controlling the aeration amount using the index, a rate of oxidation to elemental sulfur is increased in oxidation of a sulfide to elemental sulfur or to a sulfate ion by the sulfur-oxidizing bacteria.
