DEPOSIT PROCESSING UNIT AND DEPOSIT PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the miniaturization and weight reduction of a unit by adjacently arranging the work tool of a deposit processing unit and the unit body, and to improve workability in a narrow space by shortening the full length of the unit.SOLUTION: A deposit processing unit 1 having height H that allows the unit to enter a lower space 18 of a belt conveyer 11 for conveying raw materials for iron manufacture is configured to process the deposits of raw materials for iron manufacture which fall from the belt conveyer 11. The deposit processing unit 1 includes: a unit body 2; a work tool 4 arranged ahead of the unit body 2; a pair of traveling bodies 3 and 3 arranged at both sides of the width direction of the unit body 2; and a pair of arms 51 and 51 arranged so as to be rotatable with respect to the unit body 2 for connecting the unit body 2 to the work tool 4. The pair of arms 51 and 51 are arrange along the longitudinal direction of the unit body 2 at the outsides of the pair of traveling bodies 3 and 3. The rear ends of the arms 51 are connected so as to be rotatable with respect to the side faces of the width direction of the unit body 2 by arm rotary shafts 52, and the arm rotary shafts 52 are arranged at the rear side than the position of the center of gravity of the unit body 2.
