CASTING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting apparatus that cannot require a process of separating an unnecessary portion from a product portion after molding of a cast, does not require a complicated apparatus configuration, prevents increase in the size of the apparatus and is not expensive.SOLUTION: A casting apparatus 10 is used for molding a cast comprising a product portion S and an unnecessary portion F continuing to the product portion S by supplying molten metal M to a cavity defined by a stationary die 1 and a movable die 2. Either one of the movable die 2 or the stationary die 1 includes an extrusion mechanism 8 that comprises a first extruding rod 4 for extruding the product portion S, a second extruding rod 5 for extruding the unnecessary portion F, an extrusion plate 3 to which the first and second extruding rods are fixed and an actuator 7. An operation amount adjustment section 6 for relatively increasing the operation amount of a tip 52a of the extruding rod 5 for extruding the unnecessary portion F compared to the operation amount of a tip 4a of the extruding rod 4 for extruding the product portion S when the extrusion plate 3 is operated is interposed in either one of the extruding rods 4, 5.
