Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable ignition coil for an internal combustion engine which improves insulation performance and prevents unintended conduction with a conductive elastic body electrically connected to a spark plug.SOLUTION: An ignition coil 1 for an internal combustion engine comprises: a body 100 provided with a body cylinder 170 made of metal; and a head 300 and a high-voltage portion 200 made of resin. Insulation resin 330, which has a higher electrical insulation performance than that of the resin forming the high-voltage portion 200, is interposed between an outer cylinder 210 and an inner cylinder 220 formed in the high-voltage portion 200, thereby preventing unintended electric conduction which occurs between the body cylinder 170 made of metal and a conductive elastic body 500 disposed in the inner cylinder 220.
