FEMALE CONNECTOR AND CARD EDGE CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a female connector and a card edge connector that suppress releasing of contact pressure between a contact and a card edge terminal.SOLUTION: There is provided a female connector 11 connected to a card member and including: a contact having a connection part connected to a card edge terminal on one side and a wire mount part on the other and also having the connection part and the wire mount part formed in one body; and a housing 12 which has a flat opening 13 into which a card edge part is inserted on one side and an insertion part into which a wire is inserted on the other, and in which an internal space 15 communicating with the flat opening 13 and having the card edge part arranged and contact housing parts 16 (16a, 16b) provided opposite each other across the internal space 15 are formed. A rib 17 which connects the one side 16a and the other side 16b across the flat opening 13 is formed in at least one place in the internal space 15 of the housing 12.
