Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that can prevent occurrence of a noise while having a broad color reproduction range.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device having a laser light emitting element 12 and a light emitting diode (LED) 8 as a light source of backlight comprises: a back plate 14 that is a heat transfer member thermally connected to the laser light emitting element 12 and the LED 8; and a radiation fin 15 that is provided at a position between the laser light emitting diode 12 of the heat transfer member and the LED 8. Thus, it is not necessary to individually cool the laser light emitting element 12 and the LED 8, and even when cooled by using a blower or a fan, the number of blowers or fans can be reduced and thereby the noise can be suppressed.
