Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a characteristic evaluation apparatus and method for a latent image carrier capable of evaluating characteristics of a latent image carrier with high accuracy while avoiding the use of a large apparatus and increase in cost.SOLUTION: A characteristic evaluation apparatus of a photoreceptor drum 1 includes: a motor 16 for rotatably driving the photoreceptor drum 1; an electrifier 6 for electrifying a surface of the photoreceptor drum 1; an exposure device 2 for exposing the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1; surface potentiometer probes 13 and 3 for detecting an electrification potential on the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1 after electrification and an exposed potential on the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1 after exposure due to the exposure device 2; and a controller 17 for deriving a relational expression indicating the relation between an electrification potential and an exposed potential in a circumference of the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1 on the basis of the detection results of the electrification potential and the exposed potential detected by the surface potentiometer probes 13 and 3, and, as estimation means, estimating an exposed potential in a case of evenly making electrified to a predetermined electrification potential in the circumference of the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1 on the basis of the relational expression. |
