PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of correcting a camera-position parameter in the calibration.SOLUTION: A known-article detection part, storing pattern information related to the image of a predetermined article, detects a position of a known article that is the article related to the pattern information on the basis of an image represented by input image signals of plural viewpoints. A correlation detection part detects a multiple-eye infinite distance zone that is a zone in an image representing an article existing in a multiple-eye infinite distance, the article for which a significant parallax between plural viewpoints cannot be detected from individual images represented by the input image signals of plural viewpoints, and determines correlation information indicating correlation among the viewpoints of the multiple-eye infinite zone. A position parameter calculation part calculates a position parameter indicating a positional relationship between the plural viewpoints on the basis of: the position of the known article detected by the article detection part; and the correlation information determined by the correlation detection part. A distance calculation part uses the calculated position parameter to calculate a distance to the article represented by the input image of plural viewpoints.
