At the same time, the kind of the operation error or the failure, and the operation state quantity at that time and the like are converted into display characters, and these converted display characters are displayed at a full-dot liquid crystal display screen which is installed at an outer surface of a washing and drying machine. As the kind of the operation error or the failure, and the operation state quantity at that time and the like are displayed as characters at the full-dot liquid crystal display screen which is installed at the outer surface of the washing and drying machine, the content of the operation error or the failure can be grasped quickly and concretely.
