BATTERY CONTROL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery control device which prevents the output power of a battery from becoming insufficient.SOLUTION: The battery control device comprises a battery 13, estimation means for estimating the temperature of the battery 13, adjustment means for adjusting the temperature of the battery 13, and control means for controlling the adjustment means. The control means predicts the power demanded from the battery 13 on the basis of a history of transition in the power consumption of a load, calculates output possible power which can be output by the battery 13 on the basis of an estimated temperature of the battery 13 estimated by the estimation means, and determines a point of time in advance at which the demanded power will exceed the output possible power. Further, by controlling the adjustment means before the determined point of time, the control means raises the output power of the battery 13 at a time when the demanded power exceeds the output possible power to a level equal to or greater than the demanded power.
