DIFFUSE REFLECTION LIGHT OUTPUT CONVERSION METHOD, POWDER STICKING AMOUNT CONVERSION METHOD, AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffuse reflection light output conversion method that can reduce an approximate error and perform high-precision calibration in calculating a correction coefficient of light conversion algorithm, and thereby can contribute to improvement in image density stabilization.SOLUTION: A diffuse reflection light output conversion method includes: generating one-to-one correspondence relation (reference relation) between reference regular reflection light output conversion values and a reference diffuse reflection light output conversion values; converting a regular reflection light output conversion value obtained by a light conversion algorithm into reference diffuse reflection light output according to the reference relation; finding, as a correction coefficient, the ratio of the value to the diffuse reflection light output conversion value found using a regular reflection light output conversion value; and converting the diffuse reflection light output conversion value into a value univocally determined based upon relation to a sticking amount by multiplying the diffuse reflection light output conversion value by the correction coefficient.
