LABEL APPLICATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label applicator having a simple structure to suck and hold a linerless label cut and issued into variable lengths, in a right attitude, and applying the linerless label to a predetermined position of an object to which the label is to be applied, in a predetermined direction.SOLUTION: A label applicator 100 includes: a label issuing portion 400 unwinding label paper 1' from a linerless label roll 1, cutting the label paper 1' into a predetermined length with a cutting device 6, and issuing a sheet-shaped linerless label L; an application device 500 sucking and holding the linerless label L issued from the label issuing portion 400, and applying the linerless label L to an object to which the label is to be applied; and a control portion for controlling the movement of the application device 500 with a moving mechanism. The control portion controls the movement of the application device 500 with the moving mechanism based on the length of the linerless label L in a manner to suck and hold substantially the center position of the length of the linerless label L issued from the label issuing portion 400, in a printing/issuing direction.
