Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surge protection device having no impact on the communication of IP apparatus, by taking the lightning protection measures of the LAN port of an IP apparatus.SOLUTION: The surge protection device inserted between the network side and the IP apparatus side includes a first RJ-45 connector connected with a LAN cable on the network side, a second RJ-45 connector connected with a LAN cable on the IP apparatus side, first through fourth pulse transformers for ETHERNET(R) having the primary connected to the first RJ-45 connector and the secondary connected with the second RJ-45 connector, and first through fourth resistor elements connected between the midpoints on the primary of first through fourth pulse transformers for ETHERNET(R) and the ground terminal.
