TOUCH PANEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent air bubble from being taken in by an adhesive layer due to an adhesion process in a touch panel in which a cover sheet is adhered via the adhesive layer to the whole external surface of a panel body.SOLUTION: A touch panel 10 includes: a panel body 12 in which a pair of electrode plates 18 and 24 which have conductive films 16 and 22 respectively are fixed such that the conductive films are faced via a gap 28 to each other; and a gas passage 40 disposed in the panel body 12, for making gas present in the gap 28 circulate in the panel body 12. The gas passage 40 is disposed in an adhesive layer 26 for fixing both the electrode plates 18 and 24. In a process of gradually adhering a cover sheet via the adhesive layer to the whole external surface of the panel body 12 by using a roller, gas present in the gap 28 circulates inside the panel body 12 via the gas passage 40. Thus, it is possible to prevent any gas pool from being generated at the edge part of the panel body 12, and to prevent any protruding portion from being formed since the electrode plate 24 is locally bended outward.
