Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable inspection apparatus capable of surely preventing a fall and capable of inspecting a cable without restricting traffic on a bridge.SOLUTION: A cable inspection apparatus 1 comprises a frame 2 surrounding a cable 12 of a bridge, driving wheels 3 which are driven in contact with a peripheral surface of the cable 12, pressing wheels 4 pressing the peripheral surface of the cable 12, a control box 6 disposed while protruding to an outer diameter side of the frame 2, and an imaging apparatus 8 installed in an end portion of the frame 2. On a center axis right-angle cross section of the frame 2, two driving wheels 3 and one pressing wheel 4 are disposed inside of the frame 2 at equal-angle intervals therebetween. The pressing wheel 4 is energized by energizing means 43 and pressed against the cable 12, and a friction between the driving wheels 3 and the peripheral surface of the cable 12 is retained. The center of gravity of the cable inspection apparatus 1 is deflected lower than a center axis of the cable 12 by the control box 6, such that an attitude of the cable inspection apparatus 1 is held stably.
