Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for an oral cavity with a low menthol content, with which high antiseptic power is secured even when only a small amount of menthol is contained therein, and especially in which the antiseptic power and feeling of use are compatible with each other.SOLUTION: A composition for an oral cavity is formed by combining a cationic disinfectant (B) and an ester compound (C) represented by general formula (1) (wherein Ris a 5-8C hydrocarbon group; Ris a hydrogen atom or a 1-6C hydrocarbon group; and Ris a hydrogen atom or a methyl group) with a composition for an oral cavity (A) containing menthol of 0.2 mass% or less and abrasive silicic anhydride, wherein a blended amount of the ester compound (C) is 0.02 to 1 mass%.
