Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advantageous technique to reduce the quantity of a coating agent to be used.SOLUTION: A coating apparatus for coating an article with a coating agent is provided with: a conveyer for conveying the article; a coating belt arranged so as to be in contact with the article on the conveyer to coat the article with the coating agent while rotating the article; a coating mechanism for applying on the coating belt the coating agent applied on the article by the coating belt; and a control part for controlling the coating mechanism. The coating mechanism includes a nozzle for discharging the coating agent and scanning mechanism for scanning the nozzle so as to apply the coating agent on a coating area of the coating belt. The control part controls at least one of the discharge of the coating agent from the nozzle according to the kind of the article to be coated with the coating agent and the scanning of the nozzle by the scanning structure.
