PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that large force is applied to a sliding surface configured by a filter holding rib provided on a filter frame member being in contact with a lattice-like rib of an electric blower side opening of a lower body by a dust collecting bag when a large amount of dust is sucked, frictional force is generated on the sliding surface when the filter frame member is slid, and it is not easy to detach the dust collecting bag.SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner includes a suction port, an extension pipe and a hose for making dust sucked from the suction port pass through, and a cleaner body constituted of an upper body, an opening/closing lid rotatable with respect to the upper body, and a lower body. The cleaner body incorporates an electric blower for generating suction force, and has a dust collecting chamber where a dust collecting bag is freely attachably/detachably provided. An opening, which makes the dust collecting chamber communicate with the electric blower, is provided with a lattice-like rib; a filter frame member is provided between the dust collecting chamber and the lattice-like rib, and the width of the filter holding rib of the filter frame member is made wider on the dust collecting chamber side and narrower on the lattice-like rib side.
