PICTURE DISPLAY DEVICE AND PICTURE OPERATION METHOD OF THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture display device that uses an electronic stylus capable of further highly accurate detection of state detection such as writing pressure detection or inclination detection and performs the state detection of a writing pressure of the electronic stylus or an inclination thereof, and improves ease of use on the basis of the state detection thereof or has a new application method thereon.SOLUTION: A picture display device is configured to include: display means that displays a graphical user interface; stylus position detection means that detects a position in a display plane of the picture display device of the stylus; and input means that inputs stylus information including the presence/absence of a contact of a tip of the stylus with the display plane of the picture display device and an inclination with respect to the plane with which the stylus tip comes into contact. By the stylus position information detected by the stylus position detection means, the graphical user interface is specified, and the display content of the graphical user interface is changed in accordance with the stylus state information.
