IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a half-closed state of a door, and provide excellent usability when the opening/closing door is closed.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes an opening/closing door which rotates with respect to an apparatus body and makes the inside of the apparatus body open. The opening/closing door has: a first engaged part and a second engaged part which respectively engage with a first engaging part and a second engaging part of the apparatus body; and pressure means for pressing, when the opening/closing door is closed, the opening/closing door in an opposite direction to the closing direction. A pressing force pressing in the opposite direction to the closing direction of the opening/closing door received from the pressure means at the first engaged part side of the opening/closing door is larger than a pressing force received from the pressure means at the second engaged part side. A movement distance of the first engaged part to the first engaging part is shorter than that of the second engaged part to the second engaging part when the first engaged part and the second engaged part are respectively engaged with the first engaging part and the second engaging part by closure of the opening/closing door from an open state thereof.
