Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of obtaining a straight-chain internal olefin in a high yield by suppressing by-products such as a ramification member and a polymerization member.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of manufacturing a straight-chain internal olefin in which a 8-24C straight-chain α-olefin is subjected to isomerization in the presence of a titanium oxide catalyst, wherein the titanium oxide catalyst contains 0.34 mass% of sulfur and the isomerization is carried out in a liquid-phase state at a reaction temperature of 200-300°C.
