Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently inhibiting the growth of microorganism in a water system including reductive substances.SOLUTION: A method for inhibiting the growth of microorganism includes: adding preliminarily a chemical agent containing chlorosulfamic acid or its salt, or a chlorine-based oxidant and sulfamic acid or its salt, to a water system including reductive substances; and then adding the inorganic and/or organic slime control agents. It is preferable that the water system is one of paper-making facilities, and the chemical agent is added to one or more of a seed box, machine chest, raw material chest and deinked pulp completion tank.
