Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastewater treatment apparatus that facilitates maintenance of a screen for separating a carrier, in the wastewater treatment for performing a cleaning treatment of wastewater under an anaerobic condition by using the carrier retaining microorganisms.SOLUTION: A wastewater treatment apparatus 1 performs a cleaning treatment of wastewater under an anaerobic condition by using a carrier retaining microorganisms. The wastewater treatment apparatus includes: an anaerobic reaction tank 10 for storing the carrier 24 and performing an anaerobic reaction; a screen 16 for receiving an anaerobic treatment water using the anaerobic reaction to separate the carrier; and a screen tank 12 having an air diffuser 18 for diffusing an oxygen-containing gas in the tank.
