Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an articulating mechanism, a link system, and a component thereof, useful for a variety of purposes including, but not limited to, the remote manipulation of instruments such as surgical or diagnostic instruments or tools.SOLUTION: A link system include a link 124 where at least two adjacent links are pivotable relative to one another around two distinct pivot points. A mechanism for locking the link is also provided. At least two adjacent links are configured to be separated by a bush 132 interposed between the links.
