Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brighter lighting device having no dark part on a diffusion cover.SOLUTION: In a lighting device having a body, a light source made of a semiconductor light-emitting element mounted on the body, and a diffusion cover being detachable against the body and diffusing light emitted from the light source, wherein an external appearance shape of the diffusion cover is a quadrilateral viewed from a floor side, the lighting device has a subunit having an infrared remote control signal receiving part and an illumination intensity sensor. The diffusion cover and the subunit are separately formed, and the subunit is arranged on the body to be located outside the diffusion cover along one side of the periphery of the diffusion cover.
