PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately accumulate sheet-like media.SOLUTION: A release section 22 of a reject storage 16 causes a clamp conveyance section 33 to clamp paper money BL on a clamping face 33A at a clamping position U1, and causes an impeller 38 at the clamping position U1 and a press-bending section 41 at a press-bending position U2 to lift end portions of the paper money BL upward from the clamping surface 33A respectively. Thereby, the release section 22 can lift the left and right end portions upward from the clamping surface 33A just before releasing the paper money BL into the accumulation space 21A, so as to, even after the release, retain the paper money in a state of forming a curved surface SC for a long period of time and further make it glide through the air in the accumulation space 21A with vertical bending strength improved. Consequently, the release section 22 can eventually pile the released paper money BL right above existing paper money BL accumulated on a stage 25 in an orderly fashion.
