Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the resolution of a PWM signal without increasing the frequency of a clock signal.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device (1, 4) selectively counts any one of a plurality of clock signals (CLK_0-CLK_7) different in phase from one another, and controls a rise and a fall of a pulse signal at timings determined on the basis of a count value of counting and a set generation condition of a PWM signal to generate a PWM signal. The semiconductor device can switch the clock signal counted in the process of counting.
