Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titanium oxide useful for a material for manufacturing lithium titanate that has a particle diameter in a range suitable as an electrode active material, whose BET ratio surface area is small, and whose press density is high and a method of manufacturing the same, lithium titanate obtainable using the titanium oxide and a method of manufacturing the same, and a lithium battery.SOLUTION: There are provided: a titanium oxide whose crystallite diameter is 50 nm or smaller, particle diameter D50 of a secondary particle is 2.6 to 20 μm, and shape of the secondary particle is spherical or almost spherical, and a method of manufacturing the same; lithium titanate obtained by calcinating the titanium oxide and a mixture containing a lithium compound, and a method of manufacturing the same; and a lithium battery having an electrode using the lithium titanate as an electrode active material. |
