FAILURE-DIAGNOSIS AND SCRAP SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a dedicated connector for the scrap of occupant protection devices applicable for the failure diagnosis of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A failure-diagnosis and scrap system which can individually perform the failure diagnosis of a vehicle 10 and the scrap of airbags 11, 12 (occupant protection devices) along with the scrap of the vehicle 10, includes a first communication connector 14a having a first signal transmitting terminal for transmitting a signal based on a first communication protocol, a second communication connector 14b having at least a second signal transmitting terminal for transmitting a signal based on a second communication protocol, and also having a scrap permit signal transmitting terminal as necessary, a signal processing part 14d for transmitting the signal based on the first communication protocol via the first signal transmitting terminal on the basis of the signal based on the second communication protocol, transmitted via the second signal transmitting terminal, to individually perform the failure diagnosis and the scrap of the airbags 11, 12, and a signal transmission disabling means 30 for disabling the transmission of a scrap permit signal via the scrap permit signal transmitting terminal to the signal processing part 14d.
