Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety apparatus and a protection method of a secondary battery using a switch, capable of preventing explosion and fire due to rupture and exhaust of harmful gas due to a phenomenon in which an internal pressure of the secondary battery increases to cause swelling under the conditions of overcharge, short-circuit and heat-exposure when using the secondary battery for an electric vehicle.SOLUTION: A safety apparatus comprises: a secondary battery 110 for an electric vehicle having at least one secondary battery stacked to supply power to the electric vehicle; a drive motor 140 for generating power of the electric vehicle; a battery controller 80 for controlling a connection between the secondary battery 110 for the electric vehicle and the drive motor 140 and the power of the drive motor 140; and a switch apparatus of the secondary battery for the electric vehicle and a rupture switch 90-1 connected to the battery controller 80 and actuated or destroyed when the secondary battery 110 for the electric vehicle undergoes a displacement equal to or greater than a prescribed value, wherein the switch apparatus of the secondary battery 110 and the rupture switch 90-1 control a relay connecting the secondary battery 110 with the drive motor 140. |
