PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an opportunity of satisfying a relationship between an orientation of an image on a recording material constituting a bundle of the recording material and a position of binding processing applied to the bundle of the recording material.SOLUTION: An image forming system 1 includes: an image forming unit 5; a compiling-loading unit 35 for loading a plurality of sheets S with an image formed by the image forming unit 5 as a bundle of the sheets S superposed while first and second ends are arranged, respectively; a stapler 40 for binding the first end side in a bundle of the loaded sheets S; a staple-less binding device 50 for binding the second end side; a sheet reversing device 7 for reversing both sides of the sheets S with the image formed thereon and for conveying thereof to the compiling-loading unit 35; and a control unit 80 for controlling the propriety of reverse conveyance by the sheet reversing device 7 based on the orientation of the image to the sheets S, the position of a stapler staple 41, and the position of an emboss trace 51.
