Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device with high visibility.SOLUTION: An image display device 1 includes: display units 10, 20 capable of displaying an image; an imaging unit 40 capable of imaging a circumference; a luminance distribution measurement unit 51b for measuring a luminance distribution in the circumference on the basis of an image captured by the imaging unit 40; a light emission amount control unit 51d for performing control to correct a display light amount in the display units 10, 20 on the basis of a measurement result by the luminance distribution measurement unit 51b; and a person recognition unit 51c for recognizing a person from an image captured by the imaging unit 40. The light emission amount control unit 51d allows a display light amount not to be equal to or less than a threshold at a position where a person is recognized by the person recognition unit 51c.
