PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and a television receiver which can perform operation control on an apparatus capable of wirelessly communicating with the communication device according to a request sent from an external device via a communication network.SOLUTION: A portable terminal 2 requests a cloud server 3 via a network N to perform operation control on an apparatus 4, 5, 6 and/or 7 capable of wirelessly communicating with a television receiver 1. The cloud server 3 requests the television receiver 1 via the network N to perform the operation control on the corresponding apparatus 4, 5, 6 and/or 7 according to the request. The television receiver 1 authenticates a user who has sent the request whether the user has appropriate authority, and when the user is authenticated, the television receiver 1 transmits a control signal corresponding to the requested operation control to the corresponding apparatus 4, 5, 6 and/or 7 via wireless communication. The 4, 5, 6 and/or 7 having received the control signal performs processing according to the control signal.
