LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a liquid crystal display device capable of suppressing occurence of the displacement of a retardation layer and a pixel part, or an opening of a light-shielding part and favourably performing three-dimensional display; and a color filter with patterned retarder, and a monochromatic display substrate with patterned retarder that are used in the liquid crystal display device.SOLUTION: A color filter structure with patterned retarder comprises: a substrate 1; pixel parts 2 formed on one surface of the substrate in a patterned manner and each including a red sub-pixel 2R, a green sub-pixel 2G and a blue sub-pixel 2B; and a patterned retarder 3 having an orientation layer 3a formed on one surface of the substrate and a retardation layer 3b formed on a surface of the orientation layer and containing a refractive anisotropic compound. The retardation layer has a first retardation region B1 and a second retardation region B2, and the difference between in-plane retardation values of the retardation layer formed in the first retardation region and of the retardation layer formed in the second retardation region corresponds to λ/2.
