Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for reconditioning a turbine engine in a power generation system.SOLUTION: A flow control system 126 is provided. The flow control system includes at least one control valve 200 coupled to at least one nozzle 204 of a turbine engine, wherein the control valve is configured to regulate fluid flow in a first direction 218 or a second direction 219. The first direction is when the fluid is channeled from a compressor 202 to the nozzle and the second direction is when the fluid is channeled from the nozzle to an exhaust section of the turbine engine. A controller 220 is coupled to the control valve and is configured to control the fluid flow in the first direction during operation of the turbine engine and to change the direction of the fluid flow from the first direction to the second direction to enable reconditioning of the turbine engine.
