Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear exerting excellent seizure resistance in a power transmission part that is used at high rotation and high slippage condition with a lubricating oil having low kinematic viscosity.SOLUTION: A gear has a prescribed chemical component composition, and has a steel structure which comprises tempered martensite and/or tempered bainite, and retained austenite at an area percentage of 1-10% at a surface layer part, includes carbides deposited at an area percentage of ≥5%, and has nitrogen concentration of 2.0-6.0% at a depth of 20 μm from the surface.
