PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology by which high-quality image forming can be attained by suppressing the generation of wrinkles in a surface layer of an image.SOLUTION: An image recording device is provided with: a plurality of coloring heads each of which discharges photo-curable color ink to a recording medium transported in the transport direction; first irradiation units which are disposed between adjacent coloring heads and each of which irradiates the color ink discharged from the coloring head upstream of it in the transport direction to the recording medium with light; a second irradiation unit which is disposed downstream of the plurality of coloring heads in the transport direction and irradiates the image formed by the color ink discharged by the plurality of coloring heads with light stronger than the light emitted by the first irradiation units; and a transparency head which is disposed downstream of the second irradiation unit in the transport direction and discharges transparent ink to the image which is formed on the recording medium transported in the transport direction while being supported by a support member. A distance between the most downstream coloring head and the transparency head is longer than a distance between the plurality of coloring heads.
